The Watershed Spotlight: Our Christmas Operations
Last week in our Watershed Spotlight we gave you an insight into our Environmental Credentials and explained what we are doing as a business to ensure we are as green as possible.
This week we are shining the spotlight on an entirely different aspect of our business and today we will be giving you a brief insight to what we do as a business leading up to Christmas and how we ensure our customers receive their products before that big holiday!
Since our formation over 28 years ago, Watershed Packaging has become one of the prominent suppliers of Flexible Printed Packaging. Producing Flexible Packaging such as Shrink Sleeves, Printed Film, Die Cut Lids, Labels and Printed Tape. We also sell end of line Packaging Machinery. Our core values of quality, service and innovation make Watershed a premium choice for many multinational companies.
Watershed Packaging supplies many of our products to customers within the Food and Drink industry. Typically, after Halloween, customers within these industries tend to showcase their Christmas themed packaging to consumers. Many of our customers have now brought out a Christmas themed design to make sure they catch your eye on the supermarket shelf. We can print your Christmas design onto Labels, Shrink Sleeves, Die Cut Lids, Flexible Packaging and Printed Tape!
In previous years, we have helped our customers bring their Christmas packaging dreams to life. From a colourful design on a Yogurt Die Cut Lid to a very festive pattern on Printed Film for Sandwiches and Paninis. With 10 colour printing available we can produce amazing, vibrant colour. One of the most important factors in packaging today is quality. In addition to our bar setting standards, we design and process all artwork in-house in our state of the art Studio department and we also manufacture all printing plates on site to give you the most efficient inclusive service we can.
For many people, the switch to seeing festive packaging adoring the shelves of supermarkets and local shops can be a sign that Christmas is round the corner. Christmas can be a wonderful time of year and we hope that this year it can be as ‘normal’ and safe as possible. Did you know it’s only 42 sleeps till Christmas Day 2020!
Lead times and product supply are particularly sensitive coming up to Christmas as our customers require product to be constantly present on the supermarket shelves. As there are only 6 weeks till Christmas, our customers expect extremely fast service and turnaround times at this time of year. We ship goods daily on same day service vehicles to enable our customers to keep the products on the shelves prior to the Christmas break.
If you require your Packaging or Packaging Machinery from us before the Christmas holiday this year, we have specific cut off dates for ordering products and despatching products. Our brilliant Customer Service team are ensuring that our customers are made aware of these dates and our excellent Production staff are working extremely hard to ensure these demands for our customers’ products are met before the Christmas break. This year, our last full working day as a business at all our of sites within the UK before the Christmas holiday is 22nd December 2020.
